Melvin "Smelly" Mckenzie (Aml Ameen) is a British immigrant living in Los Angeles. after the release of a new book Invited back home to London for the first time in two years to promote his book, Melvin and his American fiancée Lisa Dixon (played by Naomi King) travel to London to meet with an American family. Things are complicated by Melvin's ex-girlfriend and global superstar Georgia (Leigh-Anne Pinnock), who still has her. The feeling that lingers on him and how close he is to the family he left behind.
