The story follows American Chris, his girlfriend Natalie and their friend Amanda on a vacation in Europe. They met with Paul Chris's brother Living in Kiev, Ukraine, Chris wants to travel to Moscow to propose to Natalie. But Paul convinces the group to visit Chernobyl first. With their brutal guide, they meet Uri, their guide, and another couple who are going on tour with them. Uri explains that due to the radioactivity level, he can only take them to Pripyat, an abandoned city near Chernobyl, but is thwarted by a checkpoint. The soldier who turned them back, unwilling to give up, Uri sought another route to the city. The group spends the day photographing and exploring abandoned buildings.
